Content Policy
Clear rules for useful community listings, correctly labeled adult content, reports and fair moderation.
Last updated:
1. Where these rules apply
This policy applies to listing titles, descriptions, invitations, images and metadata, profile material, category and tag suggestions, reports and other submissions to GroupHub. A link can violate this policy because of its destination or its purpose even if the listing text itself looks harmless.
GroupHub is a public directory intended for people aged 18 and over. Content must be lawful, accurately described and suitable for the way it is displayed. Permission to submit a link does not guarantee publication or override the rules of a destination platform. The Terms and Privacy notice also apply.
2. Accurate and authorized listings
- Submit a publicly shareable invitation that belongs to the community described, using a supported platform and invitation format.
- Have permission or another lawful basis to share the link and any listing material. Respect a community owner's legitimate request to stop exposing a private invitation.
- Use an informative title and description, relevant categories and tags, and accurate language, location and NSFW labels. Explain what visitors can reasonably expect.
- Avoid duplicate invitations, keyword stuffing, unrelated tags, fabricated membership statistics, false verification claims and misleading official branding.
- Do not put login credentials, private phone numbers, identity documents or other people's private information in listing material.
If a community changes its purpose or an invitation stops working, request a correction rather than concealing the change or creating repeated duplicates.
3. Prohibited material and destinations
- Fraud and financial deception: scams, fake investment communities, phishing, payment fraud, deceptive giveaways and impersonation of an organization or public service.
- Malicious activity: malware distribution, credential theft, stolen account trading or instructions and services intended to compromise other people's systems.
- Illegal trade and exploitation: drug sales, weapons trading, human trafficking, illegal transactions and communities promoting gambling services.
- Violence and targeted abuse: credible threats, violent extremism, recruitment for hate organizations, incitement to violence, organized harassment or abuse targeting protected characteristics.
- Child sexual exploitation: sexual material involving minors, grooming, sexual solicitation of minors or content that promotes, facilitates or normalizes their abuse. An NSFW label never makes this acceptable.
- Non-consensual sexual material: intimate images shared without consent, sexual exploitation, sexual coercion or manipulated intimate depictions of an identifiable person without consent.
- Privacy violations: doxxing, leaked personal records, stolen private conversations or other unauthorized disclosure of personal information.
- Intellectual property infringement: pirated resources, unauthorized redistribution of protected material or communities primarily intended to facilitate infringement.
- Deceptive or abusive directory use: spam, hidden destinations, fake listings, fabricated reports, repeated duplicates and attempts to bypass moderation.
Educational discussion, journalism or support about a sensitive topic is not automatically prohibited. We assess the context, destination and conduct rather than treating a topic keyword as proof of wrongdoing. Material that facilitates the prohibited conduct remains disallowed.
4. NSFW labels and adult destinations
NSFW (adult) content is allowed when correctly labeled and compliant with the Content Policy.
Mark a community NSFW when it contains adult sexual themes or other content that requires an adult audience. Keep public titles, descriptions and preview material informative; do not use explicit imagery, graphic sexual descriptions or sexual solicitation as public directory promotion.
Published NSFW listings remain visible on the homepage, platform and category lists, tags, search, detail pages and sitemap. An NSFW badge is shown, and opening a marked destination requires an adult-content warning confirmation even if general outbound warnings are disabled. The confirmation does not verify age or authorize content that is restricted in a visitor's location.
Correct labeling alone is not a reason for rejection or removal. Report a missing label or a specific violation, such as exploitation, non-consensual material or illegal activity. Adults must also comply with the applicable local age requirement and the destination platform's rules.
5. Checks, publication and enforcement
Listings pass through moderation controls before public availability. We use invitation validation, duplicate checks, blacklists, content rules, activity limits and manual review; configured automation can approve eligible listings or handle parts of the review workflow. Passing a check is not a certification of a community's identity, legality or safety.
Depending on the issue, we may correct a label, request edits, reject a submission, remove featured or verified status, mark an invitation broken, suspend a listing or delete it. A credible urgent risk can justify temporarily limiting visibility while a report is investigated. Submission deadlines and available actions are shown in the account workflow when applicable.
Serious or repeated violations, evasion and intentionally false reports can result in account restrictions or closure. Reporting volume alone does not establish that a community is unlawful; relevant evidence and applicable policy determine the outcome.
6. Reporting a problem
Use Report on the relevant group detail page and select the closest reason. In-product reporting requires a signed-in, eligible account and is subject to duplicate and activity limits. Include concise, factual details, the affected URL and relevant dates. Do not include passwords or unnecessary personal information.
If you cannot report through the site, a listing is already unavailable, or the issue concerns your privacy or rights, email [email protected]. Our Contact page explains what to include and provides separate routes for removal and copyright requests.
Do not upload, download or forward child sexual abuse material or other illegal files as evidence. Provide a location and a safe description instead, and report the underlying material to the relevant platform or authority. For imminent danger, contact appropriate emergency services; this mailbox is not an emergency response channel.
7. Corrections, appeals and removal requests
Submitters can review available feedback in My submissions and make edits where the workflow permits. If you believe a decision or automated action is mistaken, request human review at [email protected] with the listing URL, decision or reference, the rule you believe was misapplied and relevant evidence.
Community owners, affected individuals and rights holders can ask us to correct or remove a listing using the request instructions. You do not need to create an account to send an email request. We may need reasonable evidence of the issue or authority to act, but you should not send identity documents without an agreed verification method.
Appeals are assessed on their merits. A removal from GroupHub does not remove the destination community or copies held by other services.
8. Policy updates
We may update these rules to address new risks, changes in the service or legal obligations. The date above identifies the current policy. Where notice is required for a material change, we will provide it through an appropriate channel. Existing listings may be reviewed under the updated rules, with applicable rights and fair review considered.
